After switching out the basketball nets at Polk Elementary School, I received 120 thank you notes from the students. Many of the notes included drawings relating to the game of basketball. I decided to treat their drawings as a response to my actions and in turn, respond by making cyanotypes of their creations. By doing this, I was able to collaborate with the students and I was able to make a document of East Baton Rouge Parish, utilizing the sun, water and creativity of children who live in the area.
